Welcome
The beauty itself leads to small pretty
village of Iagodina ( 1100 m. above sea-level ) close to the
bulgarian-greek border at about 30 km. away from the town of Devin. The
most beautiful part of the route Devin - Iagodina is the Buinovsko
Gorge - a fantastic creation by the river of Buinovska, that is the
main feeder of the river Vucha. The power, greatness and the beauty of
this Rodhopi Mountain's river in these parts cannot be described with
words - it's a place to see. Indeed , hidden in the mountain skirts,
just beneath th St. Iliya peak to the North, and Dulata peak to the
south - Rodhopi mountain going through the greek border, is situated
the village of Iagodina - keeping pretty white houses and luxuriant
meadows, rich of herbs, as well as people full of hospitality,
diligent, quiet and friendly bulgarians that keep the bulgarian dialect
and traditions. The most noticable object from the geography surprises
is the pearl in the crown of the cave tourism - The Iagodina Cave.
Above is situated another interesting place - cave home from the late
neolith. - one of the few evidences for the primitive man leaving
traces for their living and existence. Nearby of the village of
Iagodina via road or eco-paths can be seen the "Diavolsko Garlo" cave
and the "Haramiiska" cave, the famous "Trigrad Gorge", the beautiful
"Diavolski most" and the waterfalls "Pruskaloto". This is the true
fortune of the village. For the keen fisherman there are many rivers
around and the dam lake "Batak" ( 18 km. ) and the river Vucha (12 km.)
in wich you can find trout, carp and sheatfish and many more. In the
area there are 35 places of interest, that need to be discovert by eyes
- the only way to feel the magic, that by many local and foreighn
people is said to be living here. The local people are well known for
their hospitality. There is a hotel in the village and about 150 rooms
